Claudio Passavanti is a producer, arranger, band leader, DJ, record label owner, remixer and mastering engineer. A man whose entire life is given over to, and driven by his insatiable love of music.

After studying Orchestral Composing and Arranging at The Grove School Of Music in Los Angeles he recorded his first solo album with legendary GRP rhythm section John Patitucci and Dave Weckl at the tender age of 21.

Having relocated to London at the age of 30, working as an in-house producer for techno label Almighty Records, until 2004 when he went solo to start his own independent label Sunlightsquare Records Ltd. As a record label owner, producer and remixer, Claudio has enjoyed success in various ways; Sunlightsquare’s salsa version of I Believe In Miracles (from the CD Havana Central) went on to sell over 10,000 copies and became a cult success in the Latin circles worldwide. In April 2012, Brownswood Recordings released a Sunlightsquare remix of Gilles Peterson’s Havana Cultura Band’s Agita. Sunlightsquare also produced the main tile of the soundtrack on the feature film “Cuban Fury” (Studio-Canal/Film4) starring Nick Frost.
